Premier of Greenland thanks supporters in national Danish interview
Premier of Greenland, Jans-Frederik Nielsen, thanks those who took to the streets in January to support Greenland’s right to determine its own future.
In an interview with Danish public service broadcaster DR, Jens-Frederik Nielsen reflected on the support shown during a period of intense pressure on Greenland. He highlighted the demonstrations in Denmark, where thousands of people gathered to stand up for Greenlanders’ right to decide their own future.
His message was one of gratitude.
At Support Greenland, we want to pass that thanks on to everyone who marched, shared the message and stood with Greenland. Together, you made solidarity visible at a time of uncertainty.
The demonstrations brought people together around a fundamental principle: Greenland’s future belongs to Greenlanders. That principle remains at the heart of everything we do.
Support Greenland connects people and organisations around the world in support of Greenland’s right to self-determination.
We will continue to stand with Greenland and support Greenlanders’ right to shape their own future.
