Copenhagen Harbour was filled with kayaks, music and messages of solidarity with Greenland on UN’s International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples. Watch the video here.

Thousands of people took to Copenhagen Harbour in a powerful show of solidarity with Greenland and the Greenlandic people on the kayak parade.

Held on the UN’s International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, the Kayak Parade brought Greenlanders, Danes and supporters together on the water and along the harbourfront to stand up for Greenland, democracy, freedom and the rights of Indigenous Peoples.

The parade travelled through Copenhagen Harbour, accompanied by speeches, music and hundreds of people watching from the quays and bridges.

If you weren’t able to join in Copenhagen – or simply want to experience the atmosphere again – you can watch the video from the Kayak Parade below.

Thank you to everyone who paddled, performed, spoke, volunteered, watched from the harbour – and supported from near and far.
