Community Events

Become part of the movement by adding community events to our calendar and organising local action in solidarity with Greenland. Support Greenland does not organise, manage or endorse community events.

Guidelines for organisers

Write an email with an intro to join@supportgreenland.org. Please state whether you are a private person or representing an organisation. Tell us about the purpose of the event as well as the practical details.

By submitting your event to the Support Greenland calendar, you confirm that:

  • You share our values and principles: Read the Support Greenland Charter.
  • You amplify Greenlandic voices: Your event will prioritise and amplify Greenlandic perspectives, and will not be used as a platform to promote unrelated political agendas.
  • You commit to peaceful assembly: Your event will be conducted lawfully, peacefully and with respect for the safety of all participants.
  • You take responsibility: You are solely responsible for the organisation, conduct, and safety of your event. Support Greenland assumes no liability for any aspect of your event.

Support Greenland reserves the right to decline, remove, or publicly disassociate from any event that does not align with our values or principles of conduct.

 

General guidelines for participants

  • Treat everyone with respect
  • Show respect to fellow participants, bystanders, police, and organizers – even when you disagree.
  • No discrimination or hate speech Racism, sexism, homophobia, antisemitism, Islamophobia, or any other form of hatred or degradation will not be tolerated.
  • Stay focused on the message Banners, signs, and chants should support the purpose of the demonstration – not create division or escalation.
  • Violence and harassment are not tolerated Events shall be peaceful and open to everyone who wishes to show solidarity and support.
